Flaky Scones

I forgot geometry is not my forte,
hence these are
not perfect triangles.
They are,
however,
completely delicious!
Not sure they
would pass muster
for flakiness
at the
county fair judging
but
they are better
than anything at Starbucks.

The dough really gave me
a bit of anxiety.
It was too dry so I added
a little more cream
into the flour, sugar, baking powder,
baking soda, salt
and
grated butter.
Thanks Nancy!

I had my doubts
this would work
but after a few fold overs
and rolling,
it came together.

Into the oven
and
then a cool down between
tea towels.

Voila!

For someone
who loves scones
but could never get them right,
this is another win
with one of Rose's
scone recipes.

  5. They look wonderful and light to me. I too find it very difficult to cut a triangle - it's very frustrating!
