Here's a dose of controversy

If you thought you knew what was in your food, this article on nanotechnology may make you rethink a thing or two.

Interesting article. I hope nano-technology gets a better rep than bio has...

  2. It isn't just controversial, it's scary! Another reason to eat organic and unprocessed. Thanks for posting this. We need to know about nanotechnology and how it impacts our food.

  3. Thus why I started eating organic!

  4. If there are no regulations about the use of nanotechnology in conventional foods, I would be surprised if the large scale commercial organic producers are actually prevented from using nanotechnology in their packagings/products. The big commercial/industrial organic manufacturers are just as scary (to me, anyway) as 'conventional' food production. You're often better off buying from a local small-scale, not-necessarily-certified-organic farmer than organic from the grocery store. Unfortunately, being in Canada, we have a rather short season for local produce. :( I need to start canning.
